Hurricane Sandy update
just checked on the church. Praise the Lord, everything seems in good shape.
We had a little water come in one window and another’s frame is soaked.
The major water source seems to be at the clock level. Water came in there and dripped to the sanctuary level.
The basement held up fine. There is a little bit of water down there, but the power is on and the pump seems to be running.

The kitchen and pastor’s study are dry.
There was a slight bit of damage outside. Not surprisingly, we lost the sign out front. It now just looks like a cross in the yard. We lost a bit of plastic siding that was at the roofline on the back of church on the parking lot side. The butterfly bush is the front yard is kind of wrecked. At least a third of it was uprooted.
Let’s pray that whatever is left of the storm doesn’t cause any more damage. Pray for those who have been much more affected than we are.
