Addition to the church bylaws

Chestnut Hill Baptist Church revised its official bylaws on February 9, 2009. The only revision to the document was the addition of Article 17 — Nonprofit Status and Liquidation.

This church is a "Not-for-Profit" corporation. The property of this corporation is irrevocably dedicated to religious purposes and no part of the net income or assets of this organization shall ever inure to the benefit of an officer, or member of the corporation, or to the benefit of any private individual. In the event of liquidation or dissolution of the church, all of its assets and property of every nature and description whatsoever shall be paid over and transferred at the direction of the membership to another nonprofit corporation or trust of similar or like faith and objective. This approval process shall be initiated by recommendation of the Official Board to the membership. A special meeting shall be called as provided in the bylaws. Approval shall be by a three-fourth majority vote of all members present.
